Any given child
In 2021, Butte County became the 28 th national site selected for the John F. Kennedy Center’s Ensuring the Arts for Any Given Child program, which leverages resources from school districts, local government, businesses, postsecondary institutions, and the arts community to ensure high quality arts education. AGC Butte County supports Oroville Elementary, Palermo Union Elementary, and Thermalito Union Elementary School Districts. The Butte County Office of Education (BCOE) was the supporting organization when it started. That honor has transitioned to the State Theater Arts Guild, Inc. as of this year. We are honored to carry on the tradition of supporting local youth and the arts.

The field trip to the Chinese Temple was one of the most organized field trips we've attended. All 6 classes had nothing but great things to say about it--kids, teachers, and parent volunteers as well. It was the perfect mix of learning, combined with just enough hands-on activities . We appreciated the docent presentation beforehand, the books, and the amazing art Ms. Mikaela did with our students.
